About Me
Hello, and welcome.
My name is Hyeok Ahn, and I am a student with a strong academic interest in Global Studies, political science, and the systems that shape our world.
I created Global Studies Blog as a personal space to explore how global issues are formed and connected through policy, technology, and institutional systems. Rather than viewing global events as isolated cases, I am interested in understanding the structures behind decision-making and how different systems interact to produce real-world outcomes.
Through my studies, I have come to see Global Studies not simply as an academic field, but as a way of thinking. It encourages asking how ideas, power, data, and technology intersect, and how abstract concepts such as governance or digital transformation are translated into practice.
Technology plays an important role in my perspective. Today, global policy and strategy are deeply intertwined with digital infrastructure, data systems, and platforms. I am particularly interested in examining global issues through this technological lens, treating systems not just as tools, but as key components of modern governance and problem-solving.
The phrase “From Perspective to Practice” reflects the purpose of this blog. Writing allows me to organize complex topics, develop structured analysis, and gradually turn perspective into tangible work. In this sense, the blog also serves as a developing portfolio, documenting how ideas evolve into organized analysis and projects.
As a student, I view learning as an ongoing process. This space does not aim to present final answers, but to record thoughtful inquiry, reflection, and growth. Global Studies Blog is a personal archive of my academic interests, analytical approach, and aspiration to bridge global perspective with real-world practice.
